What they do
ATAREC develops renewable energy technology that converts wave motion into electricity. The Moroccan company’s Wave Beat system uses a mechanical-hydraulic approach, with a pilot and demonstrator developed at Tanger Med port.
Alongside technology development, ATAREC describes services for assessing energy potential, designing site-specific solutions, supplying components and supporting installation, operation and maintenance. Its work focuses on marine energy and industrial energy needs. Wave Beat remains the company’s central marine-energy development project.
